About the Design

The design draws visual inspiration from classroom chalkboards, echoing the scientific environments central to Elizabeth Zott’s story.

Bright, playful colors symbolize how Elizabeth brings new life to chemistry and transforms it into something accessible and empowering. This palette also connects to her television show Supper at Six, where she reframes chemistry as a creative, empowering act for women.

About the Book

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus follows Elizabeth Zott, a brilliant chemist in the 1960s whose career is undermined by the sexism of her era. Through persistence and intellect, she redefines her role by hosting Supper at Six, a television cooking show that secretly teaches women about science and self-agency.
